| Some are of the opinion that climate change could have a negative effect on business. Others claim it could create more business opportunities. Discuss both the views and give your opinion. |

| Introduction |
| When the most threatening challenge of climate change with regards to trade and commerce is discussed, there are divided viewpoints. Here, some state that erratic climate change could have a detrimental influence on businesses; whereas, a few others are optimistic and believe that it could develop increased business opportunities. Prior to my stance, both the statements would be discussed in the ensuing paragraphs. |

| Focusing on the former view, it is explained by the proponents that climate change leads to catastrophic conditions which seriously impacts the business. For instance, natural disasters as floods, snow storms, extreme heat, hurricane and other weather mishaps that result from climate change cause a significant loss to life and property. Consequently, people are unable to trade, goods cannot be transported and the market is severely disrupted. The regular commerce suddenly plummets. |

| However, those who favor the situation, argue that climate change can act as a blessing in disguise for trades. The fear and anticipation of a sudden climate change quickens the pace of most businesses. This is to state that people would stock food, medicines and other amenities than the regular times. To cite an illustration, if heavy rains are anticipated, people would flock to buy groceries, umbrellas, raincoats, plastic sheets, emergency lights and other commodities. This multiplies trade opportunities. |
| Conclusion |
| To sum up and offer my preference, I firmly support the former opinion than the latter. The impacts of climate change have largely been disastrous to people and their businesses. As a matter of fact mankind must begin serious efforts to restore the environment and help to regularize the climate conditions. |
