| In many countries youngsters are more aggressive and disrespectful now compared to the past. Why is this happening? What can be done to improve the situation? |

| It is sad but true that in several countries around the world, it has been observed that compared to the yesteryears, the young people have become more disruptive and disrespectful. There could be many root causes for such a behaviour; however, some stringent and remedial steps can help to control the situation to a large extent. The reasons as well as the measures are discussed further. |

| Discussing the causes for the occurrence, the foremost one is the lack of moral inputs from the parents and teachers. It is saddening that parents non the teachers teach or punish children when they are rude to others or become violent. This sends a message that their behavior is justified. Moreover, the overuse of technology can be blamed. The young people always indulge in using mobile phones, social media or other techno-gadgets, thus hardly socializing with real people. As a result, they do not observe the social norms as reverence, being polite and control negative emotions. The phenomenon of globalization has brought about the influence of foreign cultures and a sense of individuality, which has given a false sense to the young people the being respectful and polite is out of fashion. |

| However, the mentioned root-causes can be eliminated by applying a few remedial steps. To begin with, the schools and parents need to be strict. When children become rude or throw tantrums, they must be seriously punished and later should be explained the importance of giving respect to others and that being violent is in no way acceptable. To add to this, the school curriculum must include these aspects. Counseling for aggression and high priority to moral aspects must be taught. Besides this, the social media should stream programs that include moral and cultural aspects. |

| To sum up, it disturbing that the young people today are more hostile and insulting; however, stringent punishment, moral lessons as well as counseling can help to improve their mindset. |
